🧀 racletteJS First Melt for 2026 – Monorepo Heat & Ecosystem Growth

Hello fellow racletteers!

It’s been a while - our last update was before Christmas.
And while things may have seemed quiet on the surface, behind the scenes the racletteJS kitchen has been busy.

A lot has happened organizationally, structurally, and across the ecosystem. Let’s unwrap it.

🔁 Core & Workbench Status

@raclettejs/core

No new releases this cycle.
You can always track detailed changes in the changelog.md.

@raclettejs/workbench

Also no new release.
Full history available in the Workbench changelog.

But - and this is important - that doesn’t mean nothing happened.

🏗 Monorepo Migration – Almost There

The migration into our unified monorepo is nearly complete:

This is a foundational step for:

  • Better cross-package consistency
  • Cleaner dependency management
  • Improved contributor experience
  • Faster coordinated releases

What’s next?

  • New core package releases, including updated containerized dependencies (MongoDB, Valkey)
  • Proper release pipelines
  • Implementation of structured test frameworks:
    • Unit tests for components and utils
    • End-to-end tests for full applications and single widgets or compositions

🧭 The Meta Repository Is Live

We’ve created the new ecosystem coordination hub:

It includes:

  • Shared contribution guidelines
  • Issue templates
  • Community resources

Next up:

  • Automated pipelines to distribute and sync issue templates across repositories
  • Stronger governance tooling for the growing ecosystem

Open source isn’t just code - it’s structure. And we’re building that structure deliberately.

🧀 raclettePlugins Updates

cheesy-CRM (WIP)

The first WIP core application is now publicly available:

It’s still highly work-in-progress - but now visible.
Expect more cheesy content soon.

With Michelle preparing her talk for the decompiled conference 2026, things are accelerating behind the scenes.

Stay tuned.
There might be the first official racletteJS product emerging from this.

OpenStack Billing Dashboard

The OpenStack billing dashboard is evolving beyond Proof-of-Concept status:

If you’re interested in OpenStack, billing transparency, or platform tooling -
jump into the issues and share your thoughts on feature proposals.

This is where ecosystem collaboration becomes real.

💬 Community Expansion

We’ve expanded our communication channels:

Whether you’re a contributor, partner, curious developer, or long-time supporter - come hang out. Preferably in Matrix though... I mean... We grate Cheese and together with Mr. Thiel, they grate privacy

🇪🇺 Funding Milestone – Final Hurdles Cleared

We’ve solved the last administrative hurdles regarding EU co-funding.

This unlocks:

  • Greater planning security
  • Dedicated development time
  • Structured growth initiatives

More structured announcements will follow - but the path is now clear.

🏢 racletteJS Is Looking for an Office

Yes - really.

As the team grows and projects multiply, we’re currently looking for a physical office space for the racletteJS team.

From open-source framework to structured platform initiative - this is the next step in maturation.

🔥 What This All Means

While no new releases shipped for a while, the groundwork being laid is significant:

  • Structural consolidation
  • Ecosystem tooling
  • Public WIP applications
  • Conference preparation
  • Funding stability
  • Community expansion

racletteJS is moving from experimental framework to sustainable platform ecosystem, slowly but steadily. Awesomeness intensifies

Quiet times often hide the biggest shifts, but with our growing community infrastructure we will sure be bringing everything, which appears hidden at the moment, to the light of you all. For participation, criticism and cheesy contributions.

And we’re just getting started.

Until the next melt 🧀
