🧀 racletteJS Weekly Melt - New Funding & New Powers

Hi there,

This week was a special one - and not just because we shipped new features.

🎉 racletteJS has officially been recognized as innovative by the State of Saxony, and we’ve secured funding to support the continued rollout of the racletteJS platform and ecosystem.
This is a huge milestone for everyone building with us, cheering for us, or melting cheese alongside us.

Now let’s dive into what’s new on the technical side.

🚚 Bulk Import and Export Arrives in Core

The core engine got a small but mighty upgrade that many of you have been waiting for.

@raclettejs/core

Bulk import and export added for:

  • interactionLinks

  • compositions

  • tags

This means:

  • Rapid movement between dev/stage/prod

  • Easy sharing between teams

  • Safer experimentation

  • And a much more pleasant editing loop overall

One of our most-requested capabilities - now live.

âš¡ Performance Enhancements: Faster Animations & Smarter Queries

We’ve also taken a deep dive into performance tuning this cycle - and the results are already visible.

  • Animation rendering has been significantly optimized, leading to smoother transitions, less stutter, and faster perceived responsiveness across the UI.

  • Query handling got a series of internal improvements, reducing overhead in common request patterns and making data fetching more predictable under load.

These optimizations stack nicely with this week’s import/export upgrades, bringing both speed and fluidity to your racletteJS projects.

💡 Looking Ahead

With funding secured and import/export landing in both core and Workbench, we’re doubling down on:

  • ecosystem stability

  • plugin development

  • a unified monorepo setup

  • open strategic planning

  • and more community involvement than ever

We’ll share more as we go — in true transparent open-source fashion.

Thanks for being part of the journey. racletteJS is growing, hardening, and heating up — and it’s all because of a community that cares.

Until next melt!

Sincerely yours,
